Very well done and thankyou all very much!

It is definitely going to be one of my fondest memories of performing ever, such a lovely team and beautiful, mysterious chapel. The acoustics were second to none and those behind the desk made it work wonderfully.
There were so many good performances that I think in time this will go down in Leeds music folklore!?!?!
I would dearly love to help out in the future in any way I can, and I am most definitely up for putting together a great set for next year. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any volunteers as i’d be more than happy to help out!

Peace, Love & Pats on the proverbial backs..

We loved the event and want to say a thank you to all at ELFM. I really hope this event raises some cash and the profile for a wonderful community radio station with a wonderful team making it happen. We’re up for it again next year and see if we can extend to a ukulele and flute orchestra!!
Big love from Sheila and Rory

    What a great event.
The twilight hours were especially magical. Amazing sets from Rob Galloway, Spirit of John, Troy Faid, Rebel Yell, S.S.S.S.S, Jordan Senior, Silverlode, Tsienna, Light Streams and more. The dawn chorus hour was a bit like a very nice dream…
Glad to be involved. Please don’t say we have to wait a whole year for the next one…..?

Everyone at Milk White White Teeth land would like to thank you for letting us get involved with the Musicathon. If it were to happen again we’d love to do it. It was very surreal playing so late but we all enjoyed it!
    Thanks for a lovely evening/night/morning.

Big thanks to everyone involved in organising & curating the day, your efforts were well worth it, you should be very proud man. Great for us personally to re work some of our tunes into chilled semi acoustic versions. Tek it easy & we’ll see you peeps at ELFM at the festivals, i’ll look out for the gold camper van & bring my acoustic… x

Yes – and it’s going to be hot and sunny for festival season this year, no? And ELFM will be there too. We are working with Sound People to be part of Live at Leeds at the Elbow Rooms. Then the Caravan of Love will be on tour in the summer – and nothing will keep us away from a return trip to the Moor Music Festival and we are talking with Acoustic Revolutions about what role we can play in their alternative to the Leeds Festival.

And not to forget Gipton Gala and the like!

  • katie - ages ago 7th April 2009, 1:32pm

yeah! next year… but we’ve got all the summer festivals to look forward to first!

What an amazing feat it was! Co-ordination was the bee’s and everyone new what they we’re doing! THe acoustics in the studio were outstanding. I feel so honoured to have been part of Musicathon 09 and would very much like to participate in it again. Just drop us a line and we’ll be there!

  • edheaton - ages ago 6th April 2009, 11:43am

  • Frank Binks - ages ago 6th April 2009, 11:08am

I think the biggest thankyou should go to Adrian for masterminding the whole event. After months of meticulous planning, the organisation on the day(s)was superb. Adrian leads a great team of people, all of whom enriched the life of Seacroft Methodist Chapel, albeit just for one weekend. It was wonderful to hear music and singing again in the old building. Same time, same place next year – why not!
